Staying in Sunny Beach for Eurovision 2027
The largest bed base on the coast, and the longest of the main journeys to the arena. Most visitors who cannot get a Burgas or Nessebar room end up here, and most will do fine.
The short version
Sunny Beach has the most rooms on the coast by a wide margin. It is a 40 to 50 minute drive from the arena, and a real share of the strip is not open until later in May.
What Sunny Beach is
A package resort built for peak-summer volume: high-rise hotels, a walkable strip of bars and restaurants, and by far the largest bed base on this coast.
The strip itself is several kilometres long, so "Sunny Beach" is not one distance from the arena but a range, and it is also not one walk to the beach. A hotel at the northern end of the strip and one at the southern end can be a twenty-minute walk apart. Check where a property actually sits, not just which resort it is listed under.
The other honest point is the calendar. Eurovision falls before Sunny Beach's peak season opens, and a meaningful share of the resort, hotels, restaurants and bars alike, does not start trading until mid or late May. A room can be bookable without the pool, the entertainment programme or half the strip's restaurants being open yet.
Getting to the arena from Sunny Beach
Arena Burgas is ~ 35 km away, a 40 to 50 minute drive off-peak. The outbound trip is straightforward. The return trip after a show ending near midnight is the part to plan.
Scheduled buses between Burgas and the coastal resorts stop running in the evening, well before a grand final ends. That leaves a pre-booked transfer, a coach timed to the show, or a taxi rank negotiation at the worst possible moment. Getting here from the airport
Burgas Airport to Sunny Beach is ~ 30 km , a 30 to 40 minute drive off-peak. It is the best-covered transfer route on this coast.

Sunny Beach's own nightlife is the obvious non-show-day option, and a good share of it runs through the shoulder season even before the beach clubs open for summer.
