The venue
Arena Burgas
The arena that hosts Eurovision 2027, and the practical questions a visitor actually has about it: where it sits, how you reach it from the coast, and how you get away from it at midnight.
The short version
Arena Burgas is a multipurpose indoor arena in Burgas, Bulgaria, and the venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027. It sits in the host city, roughly 10 km from Burgas Airport and 30 to 50 minutes from the coastal resorts where most visitors will stay.
Search results for this venue are currently construction-company pages, a Wikipedia stub and a panorama site. None of them tell you how to get there after a show. This page does.

What is confirmed and what is not
The venue exists and is the announced host. The numbers that matter for planning a trip, the contest-configuration capacity and the public parking allocation, are set by the host broadcaster and the event organiser during production planning, and they are published late.

How to reach Arena Burgas from each coast town
Every coastal base is between 20 and 55 minutes from the arena by road. Sunny Beach and Nessebar, where most beds are, are 35 to 50 minutes. Burgas city itself is minutes away.
| From | Distance | By car | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunny Beach | ~35 km | 40 to 50 min | The largest bed base on the coast. Package resort, high-rise, walkable strip. |
| Nessebar | ~33 km | 35 to 45 min | UNESCO World Heritage old town on a peninsula, plus a modern new town. |
| Sozopol | ~34 km | 40 to 50 min | Old town of wooden houses south of Burgas. Quieter, smaller, more expensive per night. |
| Sveti Vlas | ~40 km | 45 to 55 min | Marina town immediately north of Sunny Beach. Quieter, mostly apartments. |
| Pomorie | ~20 km | 25 to 30 min | Salt-lake and spa town between the airport and Nessebar. Closest coastal base to the arena. |
| Burgas city | 0 km | 0 to 15 min | Depends on district. The shortest arena run of any base. |
Those are off-peak car times. They are not the times you will experience leaving a show. The full breakdown, including the last-bus problem, is ongetting to Arena Burgas.
Parking
Assume you cannot park at the venue on a show night. Event parking allocations at arena events are typically reserved for production, accredited media, delegations and accessible users, and what remains sells out early.
If you are driving in from a resort, the realistic plan is to park in Burgas city and cover the last stretch on foot or by taxi, rather than aiming for the venue itself. We will publish the specific city parking options and their overnight rules once the arena address and the event traffic plan are published.
Getting away after the show
Shows finish close to midnight. Scheduled buses from Burgas to the resorts have stopped by then, and several thousand people leave one building within about twenty minutes. Plan the return leg before you book anything.
There are three workable answers. Stay in Burgas city and walk or take a short taxi. Book a private transfer for a fixed time and accept that a delayed show means waiting. Or take aseat on a return coach that leaves when the show ends and goes to your resort.
The one option that fails is arriving without a plan and joining a taxi queue at 00:30, which is also where visitors get the worst prices of their trip. That is covered ontaxi scams in Bulgaria.
What is near the arena
Burgas is a working port city rather than a resort, which is an advantage on a show night: it has ordinary restaurants at ordinary prices, a large sea garden along the front, and a compact walkable centre. It is a better place to spend the hours before a show than the resort strip is.
We will add a mapped list of what is within a fifteen minute walk of the arena, with real opening hours for the first half of May, once the address is confirmed and we have walked it. That check happens on site, not from a map.
Accessibility
Accessible seating, companion tickets and accessible parking at Eurovision are handled through the official ticketing process, not through the venue directly, and the application usually opens alongside general sale. If you need step-free access, the thing to prepare now is your documentation, because the accessible allocation is small and goes quickly.
We will publish the specific process for Burgas as soon as the ticketing agent is announced. See Eurovision 2027 tickets.
Common questions
- Where is Arena Burgas?
- In Burgas, on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Burgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria, about 10 km from Burgas Airport and 30 to 50 minutes south of the main resort strip at Sunny Beach and Nessebar.
- How many people does Arena Burgas hold?
- The venue has not published a capacity for the Eurovision configuration, and a contest build takes out a large part of the floor and one end for the stage. We are not guessing a number. This page updates when the host broadcaster publishes the production plan.
- How do I get to Arena Burgas from Sunny Beach?
- By road it is roughly 35 km and 40 to 50 minutes each way. The problem is the return leg after a show, because the scheduled buses between the resorts and Burgas stop running in the evening.
- Is there parking at Arena Burgas?
- The venue has parking, but the allocation available to the public on a contest night is set by the event organiser, not the venue, and is usually a fraction of normal. Assume you will not park on site unless you are told otherwise.
- Can you walk to Arena Burgas from Burgas city centre?
- For most visitors staying in central Burgas it is a short taxi or bus ride rather than a comfortable walk, especially late at night. We will publish the measured walking route once the arena address is confirmed.
