Burgas is Bulgaria's fourth largest city, and it functions as one year round: a container port, a business hotel stock, a working high street. That is precisely why it is a genuinely different kind of contest-week base from Sunny Beach, Nessebar or Sozopol. There is no beach-holiday infrastructure to speak of, and no need to check whether anything is open for the season, because the city trades all year.
What it does not have is many tourist beds. A city sized for business travel and everyday summer overflow does not gain hotel stock just because a contest arrives, so the rooms that exist here are the scarcest single resource in this whole cluster.
Getting to the arena from Burgas

This is the structural advantage of staying here: the midnight-return problem that dominates planning from every other base on this coast shrinks to a local trip inside the city.
